Alias has announced that it will host the second annual Maya API Developers Conference in Santa Barbara, California on June 6 - 8, 2005. Sponsored by HP, the three days of in-depth seminars and hands-on classes provide a chance to hear from Alias software developers and customers working in film and games industries, to network with industry peers and gain insight into the Maya API. This year's program offers a wide range of topics presented by companies such as Disney, Double Fine, Secret Level and the Kolektiv. The Maya API Developers Conference is designed to provide students with a solid understanding of the Maya API. Students have access to in-class learning and lab time and presentations that highlight unique solutions to everyday production challenges. The conference is limited to 100 participants and takes place at the Fess Parker's Double Tree Resort in Santa Barbara, California. Learning will be based on recently released Maya 6.5 software covering topics such as: Advanced Hardware Shaders; Advancing from Particle Expressions to The API; Real-time Maya: Using Maya to Author Live Data; Advanced World Building in Maya; Efficient Coding within the API and Maya Python.
