Tools vendor Alias announced that the second annual Maya API Developers Conference will take place on June 6 – 8, 2005 in Santa Barbara, California. For three days, Alias offers a learning opportunity for software developers in the games and film industries to network with industry peers and gain insight into the Maya API (Application Programming Interface). In-depth seminars and hands on classes provide a chance to hear from Alias software developers and customers working in film and games. All learning will be based on recently released Maya 6.5 software. Maya 6.5 is optimized to meet the needs of games, film, broadcast and digital publishing professionals seeking performance enhancements while working with massive datasets. By re-architecting the software to boost performance across the package, Alias has prepared Maya software to work with the heaviest models, scenes and animation data. The conference is limited to 100 participants, and takes place at the Fess Parker’s Double Tree Resort in Santa Barbara, California.
