Alienware, a manufacturer of high-performance desktop, notebook, and professional systems, has announced the launch of the MJ-12m 7700 mobile workstation - a high-performance workstation targeted at recording professionals, video production engineers, content creators (including video game creators), and computer-automated design, engineering, and manufacturing professionals. The machine is an Intel Pentium 4 Processor 530 with HT Technology, running Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition, and featuring 256 MB DDR2 at 533 MHz, an 80 GB 5400 RPM RAID 0 – Hard Drive, the NVIDIA GeForce Go 6800 256 MB (with a Quadro FX Go 1400 available soon), and a 24X CDRW/8X DVD Combo Drive. System features include a 17” inch Widescreen XGA or SXGA+ Entertainment LCD screen, an Intel Desktop 915 PCI-Express chipset, dual-channel DDR2 memory support, dual hard drives with RAID 0 or 1 support, a 7 in 1 Media card reader, 802-11abg and Bluetooth wireless support, and built-in four speakers with subwoofer.
