UK-based licensor, developer, and publisher Alten8 Limited (C64 All Stars)will restructure and reorganize its business, devoting two individual branches to game development. The two development branches, Skull Monkey Games and Retro-Soft, will be part of a larger media group, to which Alten8 will operate as parent. Skull Monkey Games will develop titles based on new IPs, and Retro-Soft will handle internal and contract retro game development and re-imagining. Two non-game media branches have also been formed -- Mangled Pixel, a film and CGI creation section with several properties already in the works, and Octave Sound, a sound creation department department serving both internal divisions' needs and external contracts. Finally, Alten8 has created Entain9, a standalone service company providing distribution and sales solutions to both Alten8 and third-party clients. Its services cover games, audio, DVD, film, hardware, and more. Alten8 intends to announce new appointments, expansion details, and new development contracts for film, consoles, and branded, licensed IP in the coming weeks.
