A curious exit for Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, which left the Australian retail chart just as quickly as it came back to #4 last week, led to a vacuum filled by most of the other games on this week's charts going up a notch or two. Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, Ricky Ponting International Cricket 05, Nintendogs: Dachshund & Friends, and the EyeToy: Play 3 pack were all pulled upward a spot or two by its absence. Unaffected by the hole at #4 was Need for Speed: Most Wanted, which is still the best-selling game in Australia. Buzz: The Music Quiz Bundle and WWE: SmackDown! vs. Raw swapped places this week, and Need for Speed: Most Wanted on Xbox was one of the few titles to drop further down the chart in the wake of GTA's disappearance. Again, the only real changes in the chart were near the bottom. Both Ratchet Gladiator, at #9, and Mario Kart DS, at #10, have been in the top 10 before, and it remains to be seen whether they're creeping back up for more solid positions or if they're merely hanging on to the bottom as best they can before being replaced next time.
