Publisher Brash Entertainment has announced an October 2009 date for its forthcoming Unreal Engine 3 based title tying in with Lions Gate/Twisted Pictures' Saw series of films, to coincide with the next cinematic release. Few details of the title have yet been announced, but Brash says it is "collaborating closely" with the film's creators, Leigh Whannell and James Wan, to ensure "the game pulls no punches, and delivers the horrifying suspense and disbelief that has floored fans worldwide." The company says the forthcoming game "will have its own unique storyline, while answering questions left unanswered by the Saw films," which it also notes have taken in some $500 million worldwide, including DVD sales of 15 million units. Apart from its recently released Alvin and the Chipmunks rhythm game tie-ins, Brash Entertainment also has announced it is developing Jumper, a video game based on the upcoming science fiction film of the same name from Twentieth Century Fox and Regency Enterprises.
