Game audio production house Chakrasound has announced that Grammy award winning producer/engineer Michael "My’Kill" Calderon has joined the studio’s team. Calderon's credits include work on such mega-hits as "Say My Name" and "Bills, Bills, Bills" by Destiny’s Child, along with noted work for Ice Cube, Tupac Shakur, The Dogg Pound, Bunny Wailer, and Funkadelic, and Chakrasound suggests that his key contacts and studio style is particularly well-suited for games with an urban flavor. Calderon’s work has also appeared in major studio films such as "Dr. Doolittle", "Trespass", and "Poetic Justice". Calderon’s appointment follows the addition earlier this month of former IGDA Chairman Alex Jarett to the studio’s Advisory Board, and continues growth for the game audio production house, formed in 2002 and credited with music or effects for titles including the BAFTA-nominated Big Mutha Truckers, Kohan II: Kings of War, Axis & Allies, Amped 2, Project Gotham Racing 3, and Playboy: The Mansion.
