Crave Bringing Napoleon Dynamite To PSP, DS

While no details on the games themselves have yet been revealed, publisher Crave Entertainment has announced plans to publish titles for the PSP and Nintendo DS based on Fox Searchlight's 2004 offbeat comedy Napoleon Dynamite.

Publisher Crave Entertainment has announced plans to publish titles for the PSP and Nintendo DS based on Fox Searchlight's offbeat comedy Napoleon Dynamite. While full details concerning the upcoming titles have not been revealed, the statement from Crave announcing the games indicated that they will include key characters from the feature film, such as Kip, Uncle Rico, Pedro, Tina the llama, and Napoleon himself. The movie, released in 2004, quickly became a cult favorite among movie goers, and has earned several awards, including the Teen Choice Award for best comedy, best dance scene (Jon Heder), and best female breakout performance (Haylie Duff). "Napoleon Dynamite is one of the great cult classics of the past decade," said Mark Burke, senior vice president of product planning and business development at Crave Entertainment. "It's one of those films that has great memorable lines and characters, and we expect that fans of the movie will really like the game."
