Crytek's Yerli Joins GDC Europe Advisory Board

Game Developers Conference Europe organizers Think Services (also parent of Gamasutra) have added Crytek GmbH managing director Avni Yerli to the event's advisory board. GDC Europe will be held in conjunction with the European GamesCom industry event for consumers, publishers, and trade professionals, and will take place August 17-19 at the Cologne Congress East Center in Germany. The event will host more than 80 sessions addressing the needs and opportunities for developers and business professionals throughout Europe. Yerli co-founded Crytek GmbH in 1999, and the developer now has approximately 470 employees in six countries. The company's best known for its Far Cry and Crysis franchises, and its proprietary CryEngine development platform. "I am flattered to have joined the GDC Europe advisory board and am looking forward to working with a talented group of advisors," says Yerli. "Together with their strong opinions and vision, I am confident that the advisory board can create a conference that will hit the industry's nerve."
