The deadline to submit research papers for Future Play 2008, the Toronto-based conference for research on video games, is August 4. Future Play is a unique forum for academic researchers to present their rigorously peer-reviewed papers to an audience that includes games developers, investors, government representatives, and other people active in the world of computer games and digital media. For more information and detailed format requirements for submissions, see futureplay.org/research. Papers that have already been submitted can be revised and resubmitted any time before the midnight (EST) deadline on August 4. ACM copyright forms must also be submitted by August 4. Please visit Future Play for conference updates. The Future Play 2008 conference will take place in Toronto November 3-5. Speakers include Don Daglow, Ben Sawyer, Katie Salen, and Ken Perlin. Proceedings of the 2008 conference will be available through the ACM digital library.
