Paul W.S. Anderson, a director of numerous game-to-film adaptations, will participate in a keynote interview at the first 3D Gaming Summit in Los Angeles later this month, organizers have announced. The news comes just days after the announcement of Anderson's latest film, Buck Rogers, which will be filmed in 3D. "I'm delighted to be part of the first ever 3D Gaming Summit," Anderson said in a statement. "Today, information is being assimilated faster and faster and 3D is the latest -- and perhaps greatest -- evolutionary step in dramatically enriching a fan's viewing and playing experiences." "Let the games begin," he added. The director's keynote will come in the form of an interview; summit organizers did not specify who would serve as the interviewer. Anderson is best known for his video game adaptions, which most notably include four films based on the Resident Evil series, for which Anderson has variously served as writer, director, and producer. He also directed the 1995 film adaptation of Mortal Kombat. The inaugural 3D Gaming Summit, an offshoot of the non-game-specific 3D Entertainment Summit, will be held on April 21 and 22 at the Hilton Los Angeles in Universal City, California.
