Australian event organizer Dissecta has announced its next Melbourne-based games industry meeting, entitled "Old World New Games," and focused on the European games industry and a debrief of the recent Leipzig Games Convention. The event, set to take place September 19th at the Australian Games Innovation Centre in Melbourne, is intended to examine the European games market and the synergies present for Australian game makers and distributors. The event will feature a debrief of the Leipzig Games Convention by Tantalus Interactive CEO Tom Crago. Also speaking at the event will be Third Wave Games CEO Morten Brodersen and local distributor Stomp's games manager Martin Wilkes – who will discuss the business of distribution both abroad in Europe and domestically, using the release of Third Wave Game's mech combat title War World as a case study. The event will end with the official launch party of Third Wave's War World, including complimentary networking drinks.
