After failing to appear at last year's event, organizer IDG has announced that Microsoft will be attending the second annual E For All consumer-oriented gaming expo, scheduled to take place October 3rd-5th at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Originally scheduled for a late-August date that put it directly opposite the similarly consumer-focused Penny Arcade Expo, organizer IDG recently announced the move to early October. IDG said at the time that the new date "reflects the great success of the last year's event -- also held in October -- as well as the positive feedback from exhibitors and attendees about the Fall timing." In a statement announcing its participation, IDG CEO Mary Dolaher said that “Microsoft’s presence at the 2008 event will help us build on the great success of last year’s inaugural E for All event, and will further our goal of building an exciting and cutting-edge event that brings the best and newest games to gamers of all types." Other notable absences from the 2007 event included Sony and Ubisoft. No other partners have yet been announced, but the IDG release said said additional would be announced in coming weeks.
