Electronic Arts and JAMDAT Mobile announced an agreement to co-publish PGA Tour and FIFA World Cup 2002 for mobile phones.
Under the terms of the exclusive two-year agreement EA and JAMDAT will co-publish the wireless adaptations of the games and deliver them in North America, Japan and Korea. The games will support Qualcomm's BREW, Sun Microsystems' J2ME, cHTML, and iAppli. Founded by interactive entertainment executives from Activision (including Mitch Lasky) and backed by Qualcomm, Sun, and Intel, JAMDAT is both a developer of mobile entertainment and provider of mobile game development and deployment services.
