EA Signs NFL Deal

EA.com, the online games division of Electronic Arts, is signing up with the National Football League.

The two sides have signed an online licensing agreement that grants EA.com permission to use NFL teams, logos, and uniforms in a variety on exclusive online games. The agreement also includes extensive co-branding and marketing provisions. “Partnering with the NFL clearly puts a stake in the ground for EA.com to become the dominant provider of online interactive sports entertainment,'' said EA’s John Riccitiello.
