The Vancouver International Game Summit has announced that Electronics Arts Inc. has signed on as its 2007 title sponsor. EA’s Vancouver-based studio, known as EAC, is the main sponsor of the May 3-4, 2007 event which will bring together artists, game designers, producers and studio leads from around the world. This industry gathering, taking place at the Sheraton Wall Centre in Vancouver, promises to be an exchange of global perspectives and knowledge on industry trends, next generation gaming technologies and best practices in the games business. Attendees of the inaugural Vancouver International Game Summit will have a chance to learn about the latest developments in the industry—from game publishing, to design, to technology and business management. Presented topics range from mobile game development, to workforce optimization, designing interactive emotion and many more. Featured keynote speakers, including EA’s Armes, Alexander Seropian, Founder of Wideload Games and Bungie Studios, and Mark Relph, Vice President of Developer and Platform Group, Microsoft Canada, will share their perspective on the present and future of game development. Additional speakers from EA, as well as representatives from Propaganda Games, Ubisoft Entertainment, Radical Entertainment Inc., Relic Entertainment, Hot Head Games, Union Entertainment, Next Level Games, TIRA Wireless Inc., Cascada Mobile, and others round out the roster of speakers.
