The University of Michigan hosts an annual game development challenge, in which small teams of students have 48 hours to make a video game. GameCareerGuide.com is running an exclusive series of articles from participants chronicling their rapid-fire development experiences. The 48-Hour Game Development Contest is run by the campus' game development club, Wolverine Soft. Mitchell Keith Bloch and Paul Skowronek are the coordinators for this year's contest; their account of the event -- how it was set up and how they chose the theme of “Honoring Steven Colbert” -- has just been posted on GameCareerGuide.com. In addition, electrical engineering student Vishnu Desaraju, who has twice in previous years been on the winning team, has written about his experience as a competitor building a working video game in just two sleepless days. Check back in at GameCareerGuide.com this week for more tell-all tales from the competitors.
