Epic Confirms Summer Release For Xbox 360 Unreal Tournament 3

Publisher Midway and developer Epic Games have announced that first-person shooter Unreal Tournament 3, previously exclusive to the PlayStation 3 and PCs, will receive an Xbox 360 release with new content this summer.

Midway and Epic Games have announced that first-person shooter Unreal Tournament 3, previously exclusive to the PlayStation 3 and PCs, will receive an Xbox 360 release with new content this summer. Utilizing Epic's Unreal Engine 3, the Xbox 360 version of Unreal Tournament 3 will include platform specific content and features, such as two new characters, five new maps, and split screen capability. Unreal Tournament 3's PC and PlayStation 3 releases have shipped over a million units worldwide since the first-person shooter debuted in November and December 2007. “We're very excited to be bringing Unreal Tournament 3 to Xbox 360,” said Mark Rein, vice president, Epic Games. “Whether playing against our fantastic AI 'bots' or playing online with friends over Xbox LIVE, UT3 is a great fast-paced game with spectacular environments, weaponry and vehicles. Its comprehensive multiplayer offerings are truly going to shine on Xbox LIVE.”
