ESA Announces Charity Game Bundle, $900k Nite To Unite Fundraising

The ESA Foundation has announced that it has raised $900,000 at its recent Nite to Unite black-tie charity dinner, and has announced a new limited-edition charity game pack for Christmas, bundling Xbox titles Open Season, Fuzion Frenzy, and Cars for $29.99. ESA says sales of the multi-disc set will be donated to he Foundation "to support positive programs for America’s youth." The pack will be available at nearly all major retailers including Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, Toys'R'Us, and Wal-Mart. The $900,000 raised at the Nite to Unite event trumps last year's total in which the foundation raised $800,000 for organizations like Web Wise Kids, HopeLab, Working Achievement Values Education, and PAX. This year's co-chairs included Microsoft E&DD president Robbie Bach, Nintendo of America president and COO Reggie Fils-Aime and Sony Computer Entertainment America president and CEO Jack Tretton. Said ESA CEO Michael D. Gallagher of the new charity game bundle, “Our sincere thanks and appreciation to the game pack’s lead publisher, Microsoft. Their willingness to spearhead this effort is a model for our entire industry. The money raised will help advance the health, safety and welfare of America’s youth."
