Newsbrief: Game Freak’s free-to-play Pokemon title Pokemon Quest has already grabbed 1 million downloads on the Nintendo Switch, just two days after its near-simultaneous reveal and release.

A Japanese tweet caught and translated by Nintendo Everything announced the sizable milestone, which occurs even before the blocky Pokemon brawler’s planned mobile debut later this month.

Pokemon Quest was one of three phases of Pokemon Switch games detailed at a press conference earlier this week. The Pokemon Company shared information about Pokemon Let’s Go Eevee and Let’s Go Pikachu, two games somewhat similar to the series’ “core” titles like Pokemon Sun and Moon but with mechanics borrowed from the massively popular mobile title Pokemon Go. A duo of traditional core Pokemon games are planned to come to the Switch in 2019 as well.
