Gamasutra Details E3 Expo 2010 Coverage Plans

This week, the Los Angeles Convention Center will host the annual Electronic Entertainment Expo, bringing tens of thousands of game industry professionals together and showcasing the video game industry's major titles in development for release this fall and beyond. As always, Gamasutra's multiple full-time editorial staff will be on location at E3 with ongoing reporting on the significant news originating from the expo, coverage of the trends that emerge, and interviews with notable figures in game development. While all of the salient news will be posted in Gamasutra's news section, there's also a dedicated Gamasutra E3 2010 page with all of the E3-specific news that's already started. All three hardware manufacturers -- Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo -- will deliver platform-oriented press conferences, while major third parties Electronic Arts and Konami will hold individual conferences to discuss their upcoming lineups. Coverage will kick off by Gamasutra's attendance Microsoft's "World Premiere" event for its Project Natal motion-sensing Xbox 360 hardware this Sunday. The full press conference schedule, to be attended by Gamasutra and written up in both breaking news and post-event analysis formats, includes the following: Sunday, 8:00pm PDT: Project Natal World Premiere (coverage may be embargoed) Monday, 10:30am PDT: Microsoft press conference Monday, 2:00pm PDT: Electronic Arts press conference Tuesday, 9:00am PDT: Nintendo press conference Tuesday, 12:00pm PDT: Sony Computer Entertainment press conference Wednesday, 1:00pm PDT: Konami press conference In addition, with the E3 show floor opening at the Los Angeles Convention Center at noon on Tuesday, further announcements of new projects and games will likely debut on Gamasutra throughout the week.
