The University of Advancing Technology in Tempe, Ariz., will play host to the 2008 Avnet Tech Games, a creative technology-based competition for students. The competition, to be held April 5, will award winners with scholarships, as well as prizes. Students at all colleges, institutes, and universities in Arizona may compete. This year’s Avnet Tech Games will include challenges such as building the fastest computer out of spare parts, creating a robot that can navigate a maze and perform tasks, and “leveraging an innovative technological solution for a fictitious business,” according to a recent press release. Also on hand at the event will be a technology tradeshow. For more information visit www.uat.edu/atg.
