Joint conferences, the 1st annual Asian Game-On Conference on simulation and AI in Computer Games (GAME-ON ASIA 2007) and the Asian Simulation Technology Conference 2007 (ASTEC 2007), to be held in Shiga (east of Kyoto), Japan, from March 1-3, 2007, at Ritsumeikan University, Biwako-Kusatsu Campus, have called for paper submissions. The aim of the 1st annual Asian GAME-ON Conference (GAME-ON ASIA 2007) on Simulation and AI in Computer Games, is to bring together researchers and games people from ASIA and the rest of the world, in order to exchange ideas on feasible techniques and research findings, which will be beneficial to the gaming industry and academia. Secondly, it aims to steer young people into this industry by providing how-to tutorials and giving them the opportunity to show their ideas and demos to the gaming industry. The conference will concentrate mostly on the programming of games, with special emphasis on simulation, AI and computational intelligence, and physics related computer graphics. Next to that, all of this will be fused in the topic of computer game design in stand-alone and networked games. Software providers will be able to show their latest packages and give hand-on tutorials for the participants. The aim of the Asian Simulation Technology Conference (ASTEC 2007) is to give a state of the art overview of industrial simulation related basic research and to provide an annual status report on present day simulation research within a particular Asian country in relation to other Asian/Australasian countries and the rest of the world. The paper submission deadlines for GAME-ON ASIA 2007 and ASTEC 2007 are December 15 and 20, 2006. All EUROSIS Proceedings are ISI-Thomson and INSPEC referenced. A number of selected papers will be further reviewed for publication in the Journal of Advanced Computational Intelligence and Intelligent Informatics (JACIII) for a special issue on Intelligences in Computer Games and Simulations (JACIII, Vol.12 No.4, May 20, 2008). For more information about submission guidelines, visit the joint GAME-ON ASIA 2007 and ASTEC 2007 website.
