The 2005 North American Game-On Conference, to be held be held at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterrey, California from September 19 to 21st, has updated its official website to officially announce the event and put out a call for papers. As the website for the event explains of the Conference, which focuses broadly on the AI and Simulation concepts within computer games: "The intent of the GameOn'NA 2006 event is to expose the research qualities of the efforts currently being studied and employed in the gaming community: projects in games research fields, students' game-related research work, commercial game development and design including tools, etc." The event is intended to bring together North American researchers to exchange ideas on high-level concepts in gaming, and applicants to speak at the conference can submit either full papers, which can be from 5 to 8 pages in length, depending on the quality of the paper; extended abstracts, which should be at least five pages long; or short abstracts, which must be at least 3 pages. One-page abstracts are expressly forbidden, and each entry will be judged by members of the International Program Committee. The official CFP is available as a file on the website. In addition to the talks held at the conference, GameOn NA will also host a tour of "a major game development company in Silicon Valley" to be announced, as well as social activities and a conference supper.
