Game Pioneer, a new technology for online game-matching, will be shown at Games Developers Conference from March 9 to 11. Game Pioneer is an affordable solution for modern game-matching and offers proven performance using new technologies. Game Pioneer boasts robust server support, an easy-to-use software development kit for licensees, proven performance and a thriving web-based community. Mac and Windows versions are to be released by mid 2005. The Game Pioneer service comes from Ideas from the Deep, a developer of family-oriented action titles founded in 1989 by John Romero and Lane Roathe. (Romero is no longer with the company.) Based in Texas, IFD develops software for a variety of platforms. IFD provides a large range of development services including design, programming and artwork and continues its long support of open source with work on projects like HexEdit and OpenPlay.
