This week's top rental charts from U.S. game rental company GameFly, representing the most requested games for the week ending January 12, highlight the popularity surrounding video game titles that have been already released, as well as those that are yet to debut. Unlike previous weeks, the top three requested titles across all platforms were not completely dominated by games for the Xbox 360. While the top two requests on the all platform chart were Xbox 360 titles Lost Planet: Extreme Condition and Crackdown, Nintendo's upcoming Wario Ware: Smooth Moves for the Wii turned out to be the third most requested game for the week, knocking Ubisoft's TomClancy's Rainbow Six Vegas into the fourth position. Looking to the Xbox 360 specifically, Capcom's recently shipped Lost Planet proved to be the most popular among the Xbox 360 game requests for the week, followed by Microsoft's upcoming sandbox action game Crackdown. The top three Xbox 360 requests for the week were rounded out by Ubisoft's Rainbow Six Vegas. Sega's next-gen edition of Sonic the Hedgehog topped all PlayStation 3 requests for the period, while a pair of ports in Fight Night: Round 3 and Blazing Angels took the second and third spots respectively. Wii requests were headlined by Nintendo's upcoming Wario Ware: Smooth Moves, while Elebits and Excite Truck rounded out the chart's top three. Activision's Call of Duty 3 continued to be a popular request among Xbox players, as the World War II shooter ranked as the most requested title for the original Xbox, followed by Vivendi's movie adaptation of Scarface and Eidos' DC comics' inspired Justice League Heroes. Looking to the PlayStation 2, Sony's upcoming God of War II was found to be the most requested title for the aging platform. Sony's Level 5 developed action RPG Rogue Galaxy was the second most requested title for the platform for the week, followed by Rockstar's schoolyard sandbox game Bully. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess was again the top requested GameCube title for the week, followed by LucasArts' popular multiplatform release, LEGO Star Wars II. Nintendo's Mario Party 7 rounded out the top three GameCube requests for the week. Once again, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team was the most requested Game Boy Advance title for the week. The dungeon crawler was again followed by a pair of Square Enix titles, namely Final Fantasy VI Advance and Final Fantasy V Advance, which were found in the second and third spots on the weekly chart. Diddy Kong Racing was the top requested Nintendo DS release for the week, followed by Capcom's upcoming Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Justice for All. Nintendo's recently released Kirby: Squeak Squad rounded out the top three requests for Nintendo's popular handheld. Finally, the week's PSP requests were topped by Konami's popular Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops, followed by Sony's Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters and Take Two's Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories.
