This week's GameFly video game rental charts for North America, specifically relating to games rented via the games-by-mail service for the week ending March 6th, show popularity over multiple game formats. There's no specific system data attached to the all-format charts, but given Criterion's vocal refusal to make an Xbox 360 port of Black, it's safe to say that the new #1 on GameFly's rental charts is solidly current-generation. The EA-published shooter leads the established Full Auto for Xbox 360 at #2 and Fight Night Round 3 for multiple systems at #3. On the Xbox 360 itself, Full Auto and Fight Night are uppermost in the list, with Condemned: Criminal Origins in third. The FPS-happy Xbox fans have naturally taken to Black, making it #1 above Fight Night Round 3 at #2 and Ubisoft's Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones at #3. The PlayStation 2 has an identical pair of wins for EA in the top two positions, but its #3 is the PS2-specific 24: The Game from 2K Games. Attitude still reigns supreme for the moment on the GameCube, as Sonic Riders's extreme snowboarding with the extreme hedgehog is still on top. Super Mario Strikers remains in position at #2, and Mario Party 7 is still in third. On Nintendo's Game Boy Advance, Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Duel Academy is still ahead of Final Fantasy IV, filling the first and second positions on the chart, with third this week going to Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories, on the strength of series fans wanting a storyline refresher before Kingdom Hearts II hits the PS2 at the end of March. The Nintendo DS chart sees an infusion of estrogen as Super Princess Peach floats gleefully to the top of the system's rental chart. The gloomy Resident Evil: Deadly Silence is banished to the depths of #2, sandwiched between whimsical titles Peach above and Electroplankton below at #3. On Sony's PSP, Fight Night Round 3 still holds the title belt at #1; below it, Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories and SOCOM: U.S. Navy Seals Fireteam Bravo are packing the heavy weaponry at #2 and #3 respectively.
