Organizers of the upcoming 5th Annual Games for Health Conference announced its first Cognitive Health Track, a group of sessions discussing gaming's effects on brain fitness and cognitive health. The track is sponsored by SharpBrains, a cognitive health-focused market research company. The announced additions build upon the related sessions held previously at the Games for Health Conference, expanding the discussion group to a full two-day track. "There is already a very active cognitive health videogames industry and field of research," said Games for Health Conference co-founder Ben Sawyer. "We partnered with SharpBrains to bring their expertise in this field our conference planning. Together we have for the first time created a powerful set of sessions and a much needed conversation with researchers, thought-leaders and industry pioneers who will attend the event in June." The track features 12 sessions covering cognitive health innovation, frontiers in cognitive neuroscience research, and an overview of opportunities in the field for venture capitalists. Other planned discussions will focus on areas such as driver safety, healthy aging, and attention deficits. The 5th Annual Games for Health Conference will be held on June 11th and 12th at the Hyatt Harborside Hotel in Boston, Massachusetts.
