Organizers of the Games for Health Conference 2010 announced the first wave of confirmed content for the upcoming serious games-focused event and opened early registration. This year's conference will offer over 40 sessions and 60 speakers covering topics such as exergaming, rehabilitation, physical therapy, disease management, health behavior change, bio-feedback, epidemiology, medical training, cognitive and emotional health, nutrition and health education. Panels scheduled for the 2010 Games for Health Conference will explore the role of video games in improving global health initiatives, and will examine how gameplay changes fundamental qualities of dreams in the player. Other events will cover gaming's effects in child development and how the Nintendo Wii can be used to create a training environment for doctors. "It's been exciting to see the increasing momentum around the healthy games industry since our first conference five years ago," said Games for Health Project founder Ben Sawyer. "We are looking forward to once again offering attendees an interactive and dynamic conference platform with viable content, networking opportunities and this year, an increased emphasis on community led tracks." The sixth annual Games for Health Conference will be held at the Hyatt Harborside Hotel in Boston from May 25th through 27th. Attendees may register for the event here.
