Subscription-based download service GameTap has announced a new deal with publisher THQ to see its selection of THQ and ValuSoft PC games like S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and Puzzle Quest added to the service, including its free-play ad-supported category. GameTap says initially the service will offer titles including Company of Heroes, Warhammer 40K, Red Faction, Supreme Commander, Titan Quest, and Saints Row 2 in addition to those above. The move follows other digital distribution partnerships for the publisher, including its catalog being added to Steam in July of 2007, and later added to portal GamersGate in January of 2008. Said THQ sales director Adrienne Lauer, “Our new partnership with GameTap allows both a brand new audience and fans alike to enjoy our titles and franchise games online. Digital distribution is a great way to extend the reach of our properties and GameTap is an ideal outlet for this effort.”
