Today's wrap-up includes news of a new Hellboy video game, as well as the Dead To Rights franchise coming to PSP, and new product news and art galleries from elsewhere on the site. - According to a messageboard post from the man himself on a website dedicated to Hellboy director Guillermo Del Toro, the director has confirmed that Konami will be publishing a Hellboy video game based on the recent movie. Though the game will take the movie as its starting point, it will also introduce new storylines, characters, and enemies not seen in the film. Original comic creator Mike Mignola, as well as Del Toro are reportedly in discussions to come on board as creative consultants, but target platform or release date was mentioned. - On the heels of the release of Dead to Rights II, Namco has announced Dead to Rights: Reckoning, a new chapter in their gritty crime series for the PSP. The all-new game follows the continued exploits of Jack Slate, as he struggles to protect a key informant before a crime lord's trial. The game promises a new arsenal of weapons and array of disarm moves, as well as greater control over Shadow, Slate's police hound. There will also be a deathmatch mode taking advantage of the PSP's wireless capabilities. Dead to Rights: Reckoning is due for release in May 2005. - Also updated on Gamasutra today (free reg. req.): an art gallery from freelance NBA Street artist Julie Bossinger, as well as product news regarding Nvidia's MAXtreme optimizing software, and new releases for Quazal and its lobby and matchmaking systems. There are also newly advertised jobs from 1K Studios, 3D Realms, Auran, Buena Vista Games, Double Fine, Nival Interactive, SCEA, and Visual Concepts.
