Today's round-up includes another high-profile signing for the 2K Games label, as well as the departure of Relic's Alex Garden from THQ. - Take-Two Interactive has signed an agreement with Bethesda Softworks to co-publish The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion through its 2K Games label. The deal gives Take-Two the rights to market and distribute the game in addition to co-publishing it, though Bethesda retains all control over game development and future rights to the franchise. " As a publishing label of Take-Two Interactive, 2K Games has the benefit of a worldwide, industry-leading sales and distribution network," said Vlatko Andonov, President of Bethesda. "Through this partnership, Oblivion will reach the largest audience possible." - Alex Garden, founder of Relic Entertainment, has left his position as Director of Product Development at THQ to work on unspecified other projects. Effective January 31st, 2005, Garden was resigned from the company. "[Garden] wrapped up his projects for us, including facilitating the transition through the Relic acquisition," THQ said in a statement to Computer Games Magazine, "and is now focusing on projects apart from THQ." As of yet, there's no indication whether Garden intends to pursue his aims at another company or if he'll start another one of his own.
