Demigod and Supreme Commander developer Gas Powered Games has revealed its latest title – a fantasy-based real-time strategy game for PC and consoles called Chris Taylor's Kings and Castles. The game, still early in development, has no firm release date or publisher yet. Gas Powered set up a website at kingsandcastles.com, where users can follow the game's progress through weekly video updates. The studio is also making sure to utilize social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter to spread the word. “Synergy will be leveraged, and paradigms will be established,” said Gas Powered creative director Chris Taylor in a press statement that also mentioned chickens and horses. “More importantly, buzzwords will be utilized.” Little is known about the game, but the developer said that Kings and Castles “will utilize the state-of-the-art RTS technology that Gas Powered Games has pioneered with its previous titles” including the zoom mechanic featured in Gas Powered's hardcore PC real-time strategy game Supreme Commander from 2007. Gas Powered is currently finishing up work on Supreme Commander 2 for PC and Xbox 360. The game, published by Square Enix, is due to hit shelves next month.
