Organized by UBM Tech Game Network, the event, now in its seventh year in Cologne, Germany, will run Monday through Tuesday, August 3-4 at the Cologne Congress-Centrum Ost.

Co-located with the European gamescom trade fair, GDC Europe 2015 will continue to provide the essential pan-European perspective of game development and highlight business trends throughout the continent. Submissions are being accepted for Main Conference tracks in Business, Marketing & Management, Design, Production, Programming, and Visual Arts. Organizers are seeking leading industry practitioners to propose lectures and panels with significant, applicable takeaways for today's video game community. Content submissions are also being accepted for the Independent Games Summit.

The 2015 event included highlights such as Jed Ashforth, senior game designer at Sony Computer Entertainment Europe and key contributor to VR for Sony's Project Morpheus; Oculus VR's Software Architect, Tom Forsyth; and Quentin De Beukelaer, game and economic designer at Ubisoft and one of the minds behind Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag and Assassin's Creed Unity. Additionally, the event saw several notable firsts, including the European debut of the popular #1ReasonToBe panel and the first-ever European Innovative Games Showcase.

"Now in its seventh year in Cologne, GDC Europe 2015 is happy to continue its tradition of providing a forum for developers from all over the planet to meet and exchange new ideas, techniques and tools that will define the future of game development," said Colleen Mickey, Associate Director of GDC Europe.

The Call for Submissions for both the Main Conference tracks and the Independent Games Summit is open through March 30, 2015. You can learn more about the submissions process and guidelines via the GDC Europe Submissions page

GDC Europe 2015 also offers business and networking opportunities to all attendees with a developer-focused Expo Floor area and day and evening networking events. For more information on the show, check out the GDC Europe website
