Cambridge, UK-based Geomerics, a new technology development company that is targeting video game developers with its expertise and specialized research into geometric algebra, has named Julian Davis as its new Chief Technology Officer, as it poises to expand. Geomerics' geometric algebra research is used to improve the efficiency of graphics- and physics-related processing code, which simplifies development in addition to improving performance. Prior to the appointment, Davis was Technical Director at Kuju Entertainment, developers of Battalion Wars and Warhammer 40,000 Fire Warrior. Davis served at Kuju for 6 years, in addition to holding a spot on the Microsoft Graphics and Xbox Advisory Boards. "I am delighted to be joining Geomerics," said Davis. "I am confident that their technology will revolutionise the way that video games are made, and will offer substantial advantages and benefits to developers and publishers of next generation titles."
