Gathering of Developers is shutting down its On Deck Interactive label.
On Deck, headed up by Deer Hunter creator Robert Westmoreland, had been positioned as a sort of minor league affiliate of the Gathering label – providing licenses and technology to new development teams to create games sold at lower price points. According to reports on Gamespot, the company is putting the closure down to the departure of Westmoreland as CEO. All current On Deck projects, including the highly anticipated Serious Sam, will be published instead under the Gathering of Developers label.
