Greek Government Warned By EU For Recent Game Law

In response to its recent ban on all forms of electronic gaming, the Greek government could face legal action from the European Commission.

The Commission reportedly delivered an letter to the Greek Foreign Ministry that protested the law and indicated that it could violate European legislation which says that one EU member country cannot restrict imports from another member. If the Commission finds this to be the case, Greece could be brought before the European Court of Justice. If the Greek government loses the case, the EU could force Greece to amend its law or face legal action before the European Court. The Commission has given the Greek government two months to respond to its letter.
