Organizer IDG World Expo has announced that its E for All public gaming event has moved from its original August 28-30th date -- which put it opposite the Penny Arcade Expo -- to October 3-5th, closer to its 2007 date, and still planned for the Los Angeles Convention Center. IDG CEO Mary Dolaher said in a statement that "while our original intention was to announce the new dates for E for All 2008 with other event announcements that are forthcoming, in response to inquiries from several members of the media today, we are pleased to confirm that the dates for this year's E for All event will be October 3-5 at the Los Angeles Convention Center." While no mention of the Penny Arcade Expo -- currently the other largest expo open to all members of the public -- was made, Dolaher said the decision "reflects the great success of the last year's event -- also held in October -- as well as the positive feedback from exhibitors and attendees about the Fall timing." She also noted that the dates overlap with another IDG produced event, the inaugural GreenXchange environmental event, produced by IDG World Expo and VerdeXchange, scheduled just prior to E for All at the same location. Officials previously said that the 2007 expo drew in an estimated 18,000 visitors attended over the course of the show’s four days, including consumers, developers, retailers and media.
