The organizers of the 2006 Independent Games Festival are reminding possible entrants that the final entry deadline for entries into the 2006 IGF Student Showcase, the final section of this year's IGF entries, is at November 15 at 11.59pm PST. Entry to the IGF Student Showcase is free for eligible games created by students, and ten selected teams out of all the entries will be deemed 'Student Showcase Finalists'. These teams will be invited to display their games at the IGF, and receive passes to the Game Developers Conference, to be held in San Jose next March. A $500 travel allowance is provided to each team. More information on specific rules and submission guidelines are available on the official Independent Games Festival website, alongside further information on already-completed entries into the IGF Main Competition and this year's new IGF Mod Competition.
