Czechoslovakia-based game developer Illusion Softworks, creator of games including the Hidden & Dangerous, Mafia and Vietcong series, has signed an agreement with Meqon Research for the provision of game dynamics and physics for Illusion's forthcoming 3rd person action game scheduled for release in 2007. Illusion Softworks is developing a number of new titles for the PC and next-generation games consoles. Like many of the company's previous titles, they feature realistic 3D environments and sophisticated 'open' gameplay. Illusion chose Meqon's game dynamics system thanks to its technology, capabilities and ease of implementation. Meqon's game dynamics system allows a wide range of physical effects to be accurately modeled and implemented, from vehicle dynamics and character (ragdoll) physics through to rigid body dynamics and complex interaction between every object within the environment.
