The Independent Game Conference (IGC), which calls itself "an independent conference for independent thinkers", has announced its four-city schedule for 2008 and its Call for Papers. The IGC series (not associated with the Independent Games Summit/Festival, operated by Gamasutra parent the CMP Game Group), an outgrowth of the Texas Game Conference, is a forum for developers to interact and discuss current topics of interest to them, get noticed by their peers and publishers, and explore distribution options for their titles. The event will take place across two days in four cities, and will feature presentations by industry speakers addressing technical and business topics of interest, and networking opportunities for attendees. Featured speakers include Richard Garriott, Gamecock Media's Mike Wilson and Harry Miller, and Project Horseshoe's George "Fatman" Sanger. The IGC has made publicly available its 2008 schedule, including the cities of Boston, Seattle, San Jose and Austin, along with dates and convention locations. Interested parties may view full details at www.independentgameconference.com.
