Opinion: How will Project 2025 impact game developers?

Two articles over the past several days in <a href="http://www.redherring.com/index.asp?layout=story&channel=60000006&doc_id=700018670">Red Herring</a> and
Video Business Online have reported that Indrema will cease operations by the end of April due to financial troubles. Indrema, which was founded in January 2000 by John Gildred, has tried to promote its vision of a Linux-based game console that would also play DVDs, MP3s, and serve as an Internet terminal. Investors, however, apparently turned skeptical, and Gildred told VBO that "Although there's a lot of interest in the product, the grim reality is that after six months of looking, we're not able to find funding to continue the operation." Gildred said the company's staff would be laid off by the end of this week.
