Infogrames Inc. reported results for its third quarter ended March 31, 2001.
Revenues for the quarter increased to $70.8 million, compared with last year's $63.6 million. Of that total, $47.0 million was in publishing revenues, an increase from last year's $32.6 million for the quarter, while $23.8 million was in distribution revenues, down from $31.0 million in the same period last year. Infogrames' net loss for the period was $21.4 million, or 31 cents per share, better than the net loss of $168.7 million, or $8.17 per share, posted in the third quarter in 2000. For the nine-month period ended March 31, revenues totaled $237.8 million (compared to $264.7 million for the first nine months of fiscal 2000). The company's net loss for the first nine months totals $37.7 million, or 71 cents per share, compare with the net loss of $342.3 million ($20.05 per share) posted in the same period last year.
