Infogrames attributes the expected operating loss for 2000/2001 is due to the integration of GT Interactive and Hasbro Interactive. The company expects sales in the coming year to continue to improve with the publication of highly anticipated titles including Stuntman, Civilization 3, Monopoly Tycoon, Splashdown, Alone in the Dark 4 and others. As a result of this years weak figures, Infogrames says it is remodeling into two global divisions—mass market family and core titles for seasoned gamers, with a loss of about 60 jobs. Infogrames share prices moved higher based on the company’s strong financial forecast.
