Apple has released an update to its iOS firmware, bringing a number of new features to iPhone and iPod Touch devices and adding multitasking and Game Center support for the iPad. Apple opted to skip the previous firmware update for iPad devices, limiting the significant iOS 4.1 upgrade to the iPhone and iPod Touch. For all iOS devices, the 4.2 update adds the printer assistant AirPrint, digital media streaming app AirPlay, and MobileMe functionality for lost hardware.
