<a href="http://www.jamdatgames.com">JAMDAT Mobile</a>, a publisher and service provider in the mobile games market, has acquired DemiVision, which has owns technology for developing and hosting multiplayer, client-server games for wireless devices.
DemiVision, based in in Huntington Beach, CA, markets an application server and network gaming protocol based on raw TCP sockets and HTTP tunneling, optimized for low bandwidth, high latency networks like wireless networks. It also has a client-side API that can simultaneously support J2ME, BREW, and the Web. Terms of the acquisition were not revealed.
