K2, Samsung Partner For U.S. Red Stone MMO Release

Officials from free-to-play MMO game company K2 Network (War Rock) have announced a new publishing partnership with electronics giant Samsung to release K2's MMORPG Red Stone in five countries, including North America, this summer.

Officials from free-to-play MMO game company K2 Network (War Rock) have announced a new publishing partnership with electronics giant Samsung to release K2's MMORPG Red Stone in five countries, including North America, this summer. In addition to North America, the partnership will also see the 2D fantasy MMORPG debuting this summer in South America, Turkey, India and Poland. Developed by L & K Logic Korea Co. Ltd, Red Stone is currently available in Japan, where K2 representatives note that the game is played by more than one million users and earns over $4 million monthly. Joshua Hong, CEO and Co-Founder of K2 Network, commented that Red Stone is a “great addition” to the company's product portfolio. The executive was recently interviewed during the Game Developer's Conference in March, during which he spoke on on the company's product portfolio, as well as its free-to-play business model. “We are very excited about this new partnership with K2 Network,” said Kang Hyun Kwon, vice president of Samsung Electronics Corporation. “The creative minds at K2 Network coupled with L&K Logic’s great product and Samsung’s consumer outreach will create an award-winning combination.”
