Kayak Interactive, a mobile games publisher which recently merged with Synergenix Interactive, has bought up Chasma Interactive, another mobile games publisher, to benefit from Chasma's assets and licenses. The deal gives Kayak access to both Chasma's previously published mobile games, as well as their projects already in the works. Foremost among the upcoming games that Kayak seeks to exploit are Slingo, a mobile version of the popular web-based game, and Poker Superstars Invitational Tournament, a card game based on the TV show of the same name. Titles in Chasma's back catalog include Mastermind, an adaptation of the peg-based board game, licensed games featuring Kawasaki ATV and Jet Ski vehicles, and the self-explanatory Whac-a-Mole. "The existing Chasma products and the additional products in development were a perfect fit with our market strategy and assessment of consumer adoption," said Kayak President and CEO Keith McCurdy. "We will continue to support and distribute the existing released products in the channel, as well as bring our publishing and distribution capabilities to bear on the launching of Slingo and Poker Superstars Invitational Tournament."
