According to the Korea Entertainment System Industry Association the Korean video games market is currently worth 3.8 trillion won ($3.2b) and will rise to 6.2 trillion won ($5.2b) by 2007. The Korean games industry is dominated by online titles and is seen as an increasingly key market by console manufacturers. Korea is widely regarded as the world's most wired nation, with more than 11 million households hooked up to a high-speed Internet connection. Mobile gaming is also finding increasing popularity, with annual growth estimated at 63%, with a total market worth of 940 billion won ($795m) by 2007.
