Kynogon, a supplier of A.I. middleware solutions, confirmed today that Kynapse is being used to develop Alone in the Dark on the next-generation Xbox 360. The game is being developed by Eden Games, a first party studio of Infogrames Entertainment. Alone in the Dark next-generation will take place in a highly detailed, free-roaming environment, featuring full environmental interaction. "We had to develop an A.I. able to cope with extremely interactive worlds and gameplay," said David Nadal, Studio Manager at Eden Games. "We could not start with what we had developed previously: next generation games need next generation A.I. Kynapse provided us this next generation A.I. It was quickly and smoothly integrated in our production chain and was a significant relief for our team. We now have an A.I. solution that fits our ambition for the Alone in the Dark massive global franchise."
